Aghamore Voluntary Housing Association Ltd. was formed in 1998 to address the
housing needs of elderly persons in our parish.
The Association owns ten houses - five one bedroom and five two bedroom - at Church Road, Aghamore.

Aghamore is an expanding village and Church Road
in particular has gone through a dramatic transformation in recent years. The
views from Church Road are exceptional and folk who reside there are most fortunate.
Would you like to obtain more information about the activities of the Housing Association? Are you interested in applying for a house in Aghamore?
No vacancy exists at present but we have a waiting list. Please contact Paul Rogers in the initial instance at paulwdrogers@eircom.net or write to the following address: Aghamore, Ballyhauins, Co Mayo.
Useful information:
* The houses for elderly on Church Road are a very short walk from the church and all other amenities.
* All the houses are finished to a very high standard with natural slate roofs, drylined external walls and mosiac floors in shower/toilet areas as standard features.
* Six of the houses have oil-fired central heating while the remaining four have gas-fired central heating. All the houses have an open fire in the living room.
* The houses are very spacious; each house has a wide entrance hall, a fitted kitchen, fitted wardrobe(s) and a storage room off the rear hall. [The bedroom in the one bedroom house is 12' x 14' in size.]
* The local people are very friendly and welcoming and all new residents have settled well to date. Committee members and locals visit the housing development on an almost daily basis. [Certain tenants keep an eye on those who need extra support.]
* All lawns, shrubs etc. are maintained weekly during the growing season.
* A fine building in the village centre is available for meetings of the Kenny/Naughton Society and for other social occasions of interest to everyone.
